The Big Group Shot supporting Macmillan cancer care

A photographer friend, Ian France, has set up a brilliant initiative called “The Big Group Shot” to raise money and awareness for the work of Macmillan Cancer care. He’s appealing to wedding industry professionals such as photographers, florists, cake makers etc if they will make a small donation for every booking to Macmillan. I’m proud to say I’m behind Ian 100%, I will be donating myself and am appealing to fellow professionals to join us by either donating perhaps just £1 per booking, or even set up a page like I have and campaign yourself. This is our chance to give back from the industry that we love.

Why I am supporting Macmillan?

Cancer will probably affect most of us in one way or another throughout our lives. Be that ourselves or a loved one, is a chilling fact and one we don’t like to think about but sadly its true. The work carried out by Macmillan (and many other remarkable charities) helps ease the suffering for those affected by cancer.

I personally have lost people due to cancer and I’ve shot weddings for people who have also been victims of this terrible disease. I’ve seen first hand how the work carried out by these charities has helped them throughout the suffering. This is why when Ian told me about this initiative I had to be involved one step further than simply making a donation.
