Covering Samantha and Charles’s wedding was a real privilege as a wedding photographer. The venue they chose to celebrate their big day was Tern Hill Hall near Market Drayton in Shropshire. This was my first time shooting a wedding at Tern Hill Hall, its always fun to work at a new venue with a fresh perspective. What could be better for a wedding photographer in Shropshire than to work with fantastic couples and venues like this!
Bridal Prep
Samantha chose to get ready at their house on the morning of her wedding. Charles works at the exclusive Royston Blythe Hair Salon. So Samantha was lucky enough to have Nick, one of the directors, to do her hair while Jessica Jackson was on hand to do the make up. There was a lot of excitement as I photographed the bride and her bridal party as they prepared for the day ahead.
Wedding at St Johns, Telford
Once all the prep had finished Samantha arrived at the ceremony in a a stunning Bentley and took a deep breath as she made her way towards the venue. Samantha and Charles cemented their union in a very lovely ceremony at St Johns Church, Telford.
Weddings at Tern Hill Hall
After the ceremony it was time to head over to Tern Hill Hall for the reception. Tern Hill Hall is a fantastic location for a wedding, somewhat an un-discovered gem in many ways. The grounds are extensive, varied and well kept. Inside there is plenty of space for guests to mingle and the staff are all very cheery and helpful.
We had a beautiful spring day with the sun shining. This meant we were able to get some great photos during the day and even a couple of nice sunset shots in the evening.
Speeches followed the meal and it was soon time for the couple to cut the cake and do their first dance.
The couple had booked wedding band The Review for evening entertainment and they soon got the dance floor rocking.
