Pendrell Hall intimate wedding

Lizzie and Franks intimate wedding at Pendrell Hall

I loved being part of Lizzie and Franks intimate wedding at Pendrell Hall. They only had around 35 guests all day but every guest was really important and played a part in making the day perfect. Sometimes when guest numbers are lower the weddings can feel a little quiet but that wasn’t the case here, everyone got involved with games and dancing and it was just as much fun as a wedding with twice as many guests.

Both myself and videographer Laura from Visionwave weddings were made to feel very welcome and like guests on the day. Frank even introduced me to my first dark and stormy cocktail, which is dark rum with ginger ale and lime, yummy…. just the one though, we don’t want wonky pictures!

Outdoor wedding at Pendrell Hall

It was a fine day so the couple held their ceremony outdoors. They’d also arranged lawn games and for their band Captain Atlantic to perform an outdoor set during the drinks reception. Ad as mentioned there was the rum and gin bar which went down a treat. As I’ve said before, if budget allows its always worth putting on some entertainment for the guests like lawn games. It makes great pictures too.

Speeches

During the wedding breakfast Lizzie and Frank opted to have a sweetheart table in the bay window. This is a table just for for happy couple. It goes against UK tradition but in some other countries it’s quite normal. It lets the couple have some time to themselves but you also find that between courses more people go up to mingle. When it was time for the speeches each speaker went and stood next to the sweetheart table which made it much more personal.

This was a lovely intimate wedding at Pendrell Hall. Lizzie and Frank threw tradition to the wind and did things their way, they had the guests they wanted and out their budget towards the fun things that mattered to them. As a result the day was exactly how they wanted it to be and a whole heap of fun. If you’d like the natural approach to your wedding photos where we focus on the real moments rather than setting up countless staged photos why not pop me a message and let’s chat.
