Hawkstone Hall wedding photographer
For this blog post I’m rewinding to last summer when I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Amy and Adams wedding at the magnificent Hawkstone Hall in Shropshire.
Hawkstone Hall is run by the same company that owns Weston Hall in Stafford. So, even although it a relatively new venue, they’re already experts in the business and those expertise show throughout every inch of the venue. Hawkstone Hall has been renovated to such an incredibly high standard it’s easy to see why this has become one of the leading luxury wedding venues in the midlands.
Weddings at Hawkstone Hall
When I arrived at Amy’s and Adams wedding I was blown away by the stunning front of the building as I approached via the long drive leading to the venue, and the awe didn’t stop there. As I made my way onto Amy’s huge dressing room to capture her bridal prep ever inch of the venue was exquisite. The room Amy was getting ready in was perfect for capturing prep. She had a good handful of bridesmaids and family with her but the room was a great size and had wonderful natural light. Videographer Jack from Up close weddings was already there after arriving early for some drone shots of the venue.
When Adam arrived he was getting ready on the grooms room. This was such a stark contrast to the bright and airy room Amy was getting ready in, it was a dark gritty basement with a pool table and foosball..absolutely perfect for the guys.
Harkstone Hall wedding ceremony
The ceremony is held in the grand chapel and had been decorated perfectly by Kerry at Sorella. Adam was really nervous before the ceremony and was clearly blown away as Amy made her way down the long aisle.

After the ceremony the couple made their way into the grounds for mingling and then photos. Theres such a huge amount of space at Hawkstone the staff drive u around is a golf buggy to make use of the best spots. It’s one of those venue where there are literally so many photo opportunities you have to keep check on the time as to not get carried away. After all its a wedding not a photoshoot and my objective is always to keep the couple with their guests as much as possible.
Later into the evening we nipped out to do a few more pictures in the softer evening light before it was time for the first dance. adore capturing gem crazy dancing there was one final surprise, a magnificent firework display the couple had arranged as a treat for their guests.
This was such a good wedding and I’m really pleased the Amy and Adam booked me as their photographer. If you’re planning a wedding and would like to know a bit more about my photography please do get in touch so we can chat about your plans.
