Rowton Hall wedding photography

Katie and Craig had their wedding reception at the stunning Rowton Hall hotel  in Cheshire. Although I’m a Staffordshire wedding photographer I regularly work in Cheshire and other counties but this was my first time at Rowton Hall.

I was pretty excited to shoot at this venue, not only did I know Katie and Craig would be an ace couple but I really enjoy shooting weddings at small country hotels such as this one. I love working at my regular venues but its always good to shoot somewhere new for a change.

Unfortunately, although this was a summer wedding, the weather wasn’t being too kind and we had a fair bit of rain throughout the day. Needless to say this didn’t dampen anyone spirits but I wasn’t able to use the grounds as much as I first hoped – but, undeterred by the rain we still got some awesome shots.

The ceremony itself was held at St albans church in Stockport, this was about 45 minutes from the venue and half way across the heavens opened and down came the rain. It was one of those days where the rain was on and off so we had opportunities to duck outside for photos here and there.

Into the evening there was an amazing singer called Matthew Roberts from SMC entertainment. He really got the crowd going and was a wonderful end to an amazing wedding.

When I was leaving I twisted Katie’s arm (not literally!!) to nip outside for one last shot.. and she was glad she braved the rain!
