The Moat House wedding photography – Olivia and John

Olivia and John got married at one of my favourite venues The Moat House at Acton Trussell in Staffordshire. A stunning 4 star hotel located amongst beautiful grounds boasting two lakes and a canal side walk. I got married at the Moat House myself so its always great to be back, just on the other side of the camera.

I arrived early for Olivia’s bridal prep and  it was great to see make up artist Helen Pearson and Gemma of Dream Bridal Hair who were working their magic making Olivia look stunning before helping into her amazing dress.

John was waiting patiently for his bride in the Acton Suite with his groomsmen and children being watch by family and friends who had come to wish them well. After the ceremony we made our way outside for the photographs. Unfortunately there was a nesting swan on the other side of the lake and her mate had decided the entire venue was his territory – so we had to be quick before he chased us away. All in a days work for a wedding photographer!

During the evening guests were entertained by a fantastic band called Smokescreen before dancing the night away to the resident DJ.
