Helen and Richards outdoor wedding at Aston Marina

Earlier in the summer I was at Helen and Richard’s fantastic wedding ceremony. The couple celebrated at Aston Marina in Stone, Staffordshire and had chosen to get married outdoors. It was a warm summers day, although the wind had fun with Helens veil!

I always enjoy photographing weddings at Aston Marina, it’s a fantastic Staffordshire venue with friendly, professional Staff and loads of great photograph opportunities. Working as a wedding photographer in Staffordshire, presents me with great opportunities to work with lovely couples like Helen and Richard, in perfect locations like this one.

Helen didn’t fancy any getting ready shots so I arrived at her parents house just in time to see her reveal the dress to her dad and bridesmaids in the garden. She gave out some cards and presents before getting into a stunning Rolls Royce and heading to Aston.

I had chance to briefly catch up with Richard before the wedding who was greeting family and friends who were there to wish him well.

As the Rolls Royce came to a stop outside the wedding venue, Helen looked really excited to finally get married and before long it was showtime!

The couple had a wonderful outdoor ceremony which totally suited the relaxed vibe the couple were going for. The order of the day for me was to focus on the natural moments more so than loads of posed set ups. This suits my style of photography perfectly.

Everyone had a blast at Aston marina. Drinks were served generously for guests to enjoy. I mingled around the wedding party photographing the guests candidly whilst they enjoyed drinks and lawn games in front of the marina.

After the speeches I took the couple out for some evening photographs around the Marina. There are loads of great opportunities for wedding photos at Aston Marina.

Once the evening kicked off the couple had a bit of a fun dance routine lined up, no formalities for these guys!

As well as having a thoroughly fantastic day, it was just a joy to photograph Helen and Richard’s wedding and I wish them all the best.
