Weston Hall Spring Wedding – Gemma and Dave
Weston Hall Spring Wedding
Early April saw me back to one of my favourite local venues, Weston Hall, for the early spring wedding of Gemma and Dave. I find I’m working at weston Hall more and more these days which is all good with me as its a fantastic venue with a brilliant events team. As a nice change Gemma and Dave had their wedding ceremony at Aston Church, which is about 10 minutes drive from Weston.
I’ve worked at Aston church a few times over the years, its a nice bright church with a very modern and friendly vicar. I’m not permitted to stand at front to take pictures during the ceremony but as you’ll see we can still get some great shots from the back, especially with a bride that turns around with big smiles like Gemma kept doing! There is also a balcony which gives a good vantage point to shoot from during the early ceremony when the bridesmaids are standing behind the couple, which would otherwise block my shot.
Princess Brides
Gemma looked amazing in her wedding dress from Princes Brides in Stafford, whilst Dave and his groomsmen were rocking suits from Peter Posh. Gemma’s bridesmaids and flower girl also all looked beautiful in their dresses.
Wedding pianist
Gemma and Dave had booked a fantastic pianist to perform during the wedding breakfast and into the evening called Nick Wiley, he was playing lots of classics and more recent pop songs and ballads but the absolute highlight was when he started playing queen and everyone got up for a jolly good sing song. Dave friends had of course had one or two drinks and were certainly getting into full swing. Stick on Freddie mercury moustaches were supplied and wearing them was mandatory!
There was also Neo string quartet booked to entertain guests during the drinks reception.
Classic Mini wedding cars
I love seeing people put their own spin on weddings and book something little out of the ordinary. Gemma had booked Italian Job mini hire as wedding transport. One of my first cars was a mini and it was great to talk to the drivers about the restoration details behind these cars, the were certainly in better condition than my old banger thats a fact!
To top it off this was a a great wedding at Weston Hall, I really enjoyed the day and it was great to hear Gemma’s feedback when I sent her the gallery:
“WOW!!!! our photos are truly amazing!! we are thrilled with them and you have captured some brilliant shots which definitely tells a story of the wonderful day we had. We cannot Thank You enough!!”
