Beth and Jamie were married a couple of weeks ago and I had the honour of capturing their big day. The venue they chose to be married in was The Welcome Hotel in Stratford upon Avon.
This wasn’t the first time I’d captured a wedding at The Welcombe. I was fortunate enough to shoot there a couple of years ago and you couldn’t ask for a more outstanding venue to get married at. Naturally I was eager to get back so was really looking forward to this wedding.

All wedding stories begin with bridal prep and Beth’s story started at The Welcombe. She had a room packed full of bridesmaids and family, all eagerly assisting her apply the finishing touches to be ready for Jamie. Once Beth was ready it was time for her father to see her in the dress, one of my favourite moments to capture.
The bridal party then made their way downstairs to the wedding ceremony. Beth and Jamie had their closest family and friends there to witness them tie the knot.
Beth and Jamie spent the wedding reception mingling with their guests. The venue served drinks and everyone had a beautiful time on a warms spring afternoon. I mingled around the wedding party shooting the guests candidly whilst they enjoyed their drinks.

I always enjoy Spring weddings and they never fail to offer plenty of opportunities to photograph the bride and groom in good light. The Welcome has so many great opportunities for photography one could easily lose track of time!
Once the wedding meal was finished it was time for the speeches to begin so everybody got ready for some lovely words from the speakers. After toasts were finished everyone made their way to the lounge area whilst the band was setting up ready for the party.
It was great to see Beth and Jamie had some fun details in the evening including an ice cream cart which proved to be extremely popular. After the first dance the band got everyone moving and the party was started.
