Albright Hussey Wedding photography – Nikki and Joe
Nikki and Joe’s wedding at The Albright Hussey Manor
A few weeks ago it was great to be back at The Albright Hussey Manor Hotel in Shropshire. This was for the epic wedding of Nikki and Joe. I’ve shot at the Albright Hussey once before but this was a few years ago now, so I was itching to get back. The Albright Hussey is a 15th century country house nestled deep in the Shropshire countryside.
Weddings at The Albright Hussey Manor
Nikki got ready in the bridal suite on the morning of the wedding. She was accompanied by her bridesmaids and her brother had the great honour of giving her away. It was great to spend a little time with the bridal party before the wedding to get to know them a little better and get a feel for their characters.
I later nipped down to see Joe before the ceremony. He was in the outside bar enjoying a pint with his friends before the wedding and getting ready for the day ahead.
Outdoor wedding ceremony
The wedding ceremony was held outside, a popular choice for couples getting married at the Albright Hussey. It was a beautiful day, brilliant sunshine and very warm. The ceremony was relaxed and full of humour with Joe’s dad saying few words in the middle.
After the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed a lovely reception making the most of the extensive grounds . The drinks flowed and the atmosphere was full of adore and joy. It was time to photograph the story as the reception went on and looking for moments is what I do best.
Wedding photography at The Albright Hussey Manor
After the wedding breakfast and speeches I invited the couple outside for a few more photographs. It had been a very bright day and the evening gave a lovely soft light. There was a rapeseed field nearby which always makes for some great portraits.
Following the cake cutting and first dance the guests were treated to a surprise firework display on the lawn outside the venue. A great way to end a perfect wedding.
