Paul and Carly’s wedding at The School House Weeford

A few weeks ago I shot the wedding of Carly and Paul. I certainly felt the pressure for this one, not only do I class Paul as a friend but he’s also a fellow wedding supplier being co-owner of the ever popular DJ and entertainments team Blaze Entertainment.

They took their vows at The School house in Weeford near Lichfield, Staffordshire. Having shot there a few years ago I was keen to photograph another wedding at The School house as it is such a great venue.

Carly got ready at her mums house on the morning of the wedding. I really enjoy photographing bridal prep as it gives you a chance to get to know the bridal party a little better. These days it’s common to photograph the groom getting ready so I made a visit to The couples house and began his story by photographing Paul making his final preparations and having a banter with the boys.

Wedding ceremony at The School house

Once all the prep had finished Carly arrived at the ceremony in a VW campervan and took a deep breath as she made her way towards the venue. The ceremony was a fantastic service amongst close family and friends at The School House  and Carly and Paul were in their element.

Carly and Paul enjoyed spending quality time with their family and friends and loved every bit of their reception. There was a joyful vibe during the reception. All these memories will last a lifetime, that is why each wedding has its own story to tell.

Spring wedding photography

Spring weddings are always fantastic weddings to photograph and I made sure to make the most of the venue during the portraits. It was a mainly cloudy day, but clouds aren’t a bad thing on a wedding day as they create soft light, which is great for photographs.

The guest had finished their meals and eagerly waited to hear what the speakers had to say. The speeches are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. There were full of emotion with the best man delivering one of the most memorable speeches to date.

Once the evening got going the dance floor was a perfect place for the guests to end the day, and what a great party they had!
