Somerford Hall wedding photography – Sarah and Joe

Sarah and Joe had their wedding at Somerford Hall in Staffordshire during early April. Whilst I’ve shot at Somerford before it was great to be back again as I hadn’t been to the venue for about 12 months and the venue is one of this places with so many awesome photo opportunities both inside and out.

When I arrived at Joe’s house in the morning all his guys were there enjoying an early beer whilst they were getting ready, its fair to say Joe was feeling a little nervous at this point and he tells me it got worse leading up to the ceremony!

After spending a few minutes with the lads I headed to Sarah parents house where she was having her hair and make up done with all her bridesmaids. There was more of an air of excitement rather than nerves and I don’t think I’ve ever been offered so many cups of tea and croissants in my life, certainly kept me going for a while!

Platinum wedding cars

It was good to see the guys from Platinum wedding cars again, I see a lot of great wedding cars but Platinum seem to be one of the most popular and the car are always absolutely spotless.

Wedding ceremony at Somerford Hall

Sarah and Joe’s ceremony was a mixture of tears and laughter.. I’m not going to reveal what Joe accidentally said during the ceremony but lets just say it was an all time classic 🙂

Later during the day we nipped outside for some portraits and groups before the weather started to take a turn for the worst and we had to dash indoors, fortunately the rain was short lived and we were able to go back outside again later for a few more shots including some stunning evening light which I really wish I could bottle and take to every wedding!

Sarah had booked hair and make up with The beauty rooms who are actually based at Somerford, they obviously still came to her house for the bridal preparations in the morning and di an outstanding job.

Sarah’s dress was from the popular Bridal Rooms based near Lichfield. A stunning design that really suited Sarah perfectly.
