Sandon Hall wedding photography – Megan and Jamie
I was thrilled to photograph Megan and Jamie’s wedding a few weeks ago. The couple chose to get married at Sandon Hall in Staffordshire, a fantastic location to celebrate their wedding. Sandon Hall is a a truly amazing place. It’s been a few years since I’ve worked at the venue so was really looking forward to shooting there again. The extensive grounds and stunning interiors make Sandon Hall one of the best wedding venues in the region.
Weddings at Sandon Hall
On the way to Sandon Hall I first called in to see Jamie and his groomsmen. They exchanged a few gifts then got deeply involved in an all important game of Fifa. The guys travelled to the venue in style, i a vintage truck that had been restored by Jamie’s dad.
Megan was getting ready upstairs accompanied by her bridesmaids and family. It’s always great to photograph the morning preparations to really show the start of the story. The couple had an elegant vintage theme to the wedding and Megan’s dress suited the occasion perfectly.
wedding ceremony at Sandon Hall
The couple chose to get married in the Library at Sandon Hall. Megan was full of smiles as she walked down the isle proudly given away by her father. After the ceremony everyone headed outside for drinks and confetti. Unfortunately the weather was very changeable and we often ducked in and out avoiding showers. Fortunately we had enough dry time to make use of the stunning grounds which are perfect for wedding photography.
Once the wedding meal was finished it was time for the speeches to begin so everybody got ready for some lovely words from the speakers. Every speech is unique and I never get bored of photographing them.
Into the evening the wedding band kicked off and the dance-floor was bouncing. The rain was getting quite heavy but the newlyweds were still game for one last shot before I left.
