Rowton Castle wedding – Cherry and Jon

Cherry and Johns outdoor wedding at Rowton Castle really was a day to remember. The couple had a glorious late summers day, a perfect way to celebrate at this amazing Shropshire wedding venue.

Outdoor wedding at Rowton Castle

Rowton Castle has a fantastic outdoor ceremony option called the Linden Belvedere. This temple like structure is located far down into the grounds of the garden surrounded by countryside views. Guests sit on the terrace to watch the ceremony and the couple have the Castle as the backdrop to their ceremony photos. Its an absolutely idyllic scene and I’m sure Cherry and Jon were overjoyed the weather allowed them to have an outdoor ceremony.

Chinese wedding at Rowton castle

Whilst most of the day followed a traditional English wedding format it was wonderful for the couple to include some Chinese wedding traditions. Cherry had three different dresses and looked absolutely stunning in each. She wore a white dress for the wedding ceremony, changed into a beautiful red dress for the meal and then into a traditional Chinese dress for part of the evening before returning to her white dress for the first dance.

After the speeches the couple hosted a Chinese tea ceremony for close family. I really enjoy photographing events like this at weddings and furthering my understanding of different wedding traditions.

Wedding photos at Rowton Castle

Rowton castle is a never ending supply of amazing spots for wedding photography. It’s one of those venues where you could spend all day taking pictures about the extensive grounds. But of course thats not what a wedding is about and my aim is to always get the couple back to their guests in good time to continue the celebrations.

This was an amazing wedding at Rowton castle and I’m really glad Cherry and Jon gave me the opportunity to capture their special day. Please get in touch if you like my style of photography and was to have a chat about your wedding.
