Lilleshall Hall wedding – Mel and Paul

So Back to blogging last years weddings and here we have Mel and Paul’s big day at Lilleshall Hall.

I met Mel when she was a guest at a wedding in 2015, I actually initially started chatting to her mum when she mentioned her daughter was planning a wedding and was at the stage of looking for a venue. So I shared my experiences of some wedding venues in Staffordshire to try and help out. A few months later I was pleased to hear Mel was interested in booking me to shoot her wedding at Lilleshall Hall.

The day started out at Mel’s parents home capturing bridal prep and the excitement with all the girls. Well, that was when I had time to take any photos between being generously fed delicious pastries and cups of tea (thanks guys!). One of the parts I enjoy most about bridal prep is the excitement. It’s not all about photos of the make up but rather the people who are there, excitement and emotion.

Village wedding

After bridal prep I headed over to St Marys Church in High Offley to get et up ready for the wedding ceremony. Now this church truly is beautiful and being small village everyone is extremely friendly, but it probably deserves an award for being the most windy church in the UK! Fortunately Mel came armed with an umbrella to shield herself from the wind. It was a windy day overall but I think it made some cool photos, the on at the top of the page is one of my favourite from last year!

Mel arrived at the church in style by horse drawn carriage and looked simply amazing in her dress from Princess Brides in Stafford. There was a fair sized congregation of well wishers waiting at the church gate eager to see her arrive.

Weddings at Lilleshall Hall

I’ve shot a good handful of weddings at Lilleshall now and it really is a great venue both inside and out. The grounds are amongst the best in the area boasting acres and acres of extremely well presented gardens and water features. Inside there are a few beautiful rooms with wood panelling and a very impressive stair case. The events team are warm and friendly and always on hand to help out.

This was a very relaxed wedding, and one where I felt as much like a guest as I did a wedding supplier. Mel and Paul had a stunning fine art album after their wedding which was a joy to design.
