2016 – my favourite moments

Please….turn the sound up and enjoy!

Another year over and what a year it was! 2016 was a great year for me and also the busiest having shot over 65 weddings during the year. I’m so grateful to all the couples who put their trust in me to capture one of the most important days of their lives.

Training and development

I’ve always said I don’t want to stand still but keep on learning and developing. Earlier this year I made a substantial investment in training with Tyler Wirken, one of the worlds leading wedding photographer and international trainer. Tyler’s renowned for his documentary wedding photography and this was the focus of the course. Tyler also brutally critiqued out portfolios and gave his experience and advise to improve.

The wedding venues

Once again Ive worked at a vast spectrum of venues and also very regularly visited some of the main local venues such as: Pendrell Hall, Weston Hall, The Ashes and The Moat House. I think the furthest I travelled was to the far side of Nottinghamshire for Rachael and Richards wedding. A surreal day that featured duck racing and the vicar from Gogglebox!

Favourite wedding moments

So narrowing down this selection wasn’t easy. Do I select one from each wedding? Do I aim for a broad spectrum? Do I show the images I think people want to see? In the end I kept it simple and just went for some of my personal favourites from 2016. I could have easily included three times as many images! The slideshow has more so please do watch as well as scroll.

Moving forward to 2017

Already the year is close to fully booked. Most prime dates have been filled and I will only be taking a few additional weddings. This year I’m also going to be launching a very different and exciting new look to the family photography business..so watch this space!

If you’re looking for a photographer who captures real moments rather than staging too much please do contact me to talk about your wedding.

I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoyed making them…
