Foxtail Barns wedding – Amy and Craig

Foxtail barns was easily one of my most visited venues of 2022. I must have shot over 10 weddings at the venue throughout the course of the year, and I’m certainly not complaining as Foxtail Barns is one of the best wedding venues in the area.

Wedding at Foxtail Barns

Amy and Craig had their ceremony at Foxtail, which is an excellent choice as the ceremony orangey has the most stunning natural light. Amy started her preparations at home in Derby before heading to Foxtail to get her dress on and open some gifts from Craig before the ceremony.

Wedding photography at Foxtail Barns

There are so many great spots for wedding photo’s at Foxtail Barns it would be easy to get carried away and spend all day taking countless photos in all the different locations. However, thats not my style and not what my couples want. My focus is keeping the couple at their wedding enjoying time with their guests while I capture lots of natural moments. That said I do, of course, take the couple for some private photos around the grounds, I just don’t spend as long as some photographers do on formal photos. We all hopped in the buggy and went down to gardens for the couple portraits. Having the buggy at Foxtail has made such a difference, it used to be quite a long walk to the gardens but no we can travel in style and get there quickly.

Foxtail Barns wedding reception

Amy and Craig are so made for each other. If they weren’t laughing together they were crying and if they weren’t crying they were laughing. The evening was no exception when Craig took to the mic to serenade his new wife by singing a number. And he actually wasn’t bad at all!

I loved spending the day with Amy and Craig celebrating their wedding and capturing all those amazing moments. If you’re planning a wedding and would like relaxed and natural wedding photography then please contact me and tell me your plans.
