Becki and Matts wedding at Three Horse Shoes Leek

Earlier on this year Becki and Matt celebrated their wedding and I was pleased to be their photographer. I was thrilled to be part of such an awesome celebration. The couple had chosen a familiar venue, The Three Horse Shoes inn based near Leek, Staffordshire.

This wasn’t the first wedding time Ive shot at The Three Horse Shoes although I hadn’t been there for a good year or so. Whats great about the Three Shoes is its location so close to The Roaches. This is a stunning area of the Peak District which i great for wedding photos for the more adventurous couple, like Becki and Matt.

Bridal Prep

Becki began her day at Three Horse Shoes. I photographed her having her hair and makeup applied whilst the atmosphere got more and more exciting. Becki had a couple of rooms full of bridesmaids and family all there to help her get ready for the day ahead.

Becki had a surprise in store for Matt on the morning of the wedding. She’d booked a brilliant replica of the Only Fools and Horses three wheeler to bring him to the venue. As a huge fan Matt was pretty chuffed with this!

Wedding ceremony at The Three Horse Shoes

Once Becki was ready her dad came to see her made up and in the dress for the first time, this is always a lovely moment. They then made their way downstairs ready for the wedding ceremony.

The Three Horse Shoes made an ideal venue for Becki and Matt who wanted a relaxed and informal wedding. After the ceremony I sent some time capturing natural pictures of the guests enjoying bar games and ice cream before taking the couple into the Roaches for some dramatic shots in the hills.

It was a cloudy day for the most part, but that creates some lovely soft light, which makes flattering photographs. Once the evening got going Becki had a father and daughter dance with her dad before handing her over to Matt fo their first dance.
