The Hundred House Norton weddings

The Hundred House is a qwerky wedding venue based in Norton, Shropshire. The venue has two areas, the lovely pub itself which has cosy log fires and serves fine food and a selection of real ales, and then there is Tithe Barn where the wedding ceremony takes place as well as the wedding breakfast and evening reception. The Hundred house is the ideal venue for couples who are looking for a more relaxed and informal approach to their wedding and this was exactly what Lindsay an Mark wanted. This was a Christmas wedding so everyone was full of festive cheer and the whole day was relaxed and chilled out, even from my point of view the photography was mostly a relaxed documentary wedding photography coverage.

In a break from tradition Lindsay and Mark got ready together at the Hundred House, every room is decorated in a vintagey feel and has a swing. When I arrived Lindsay was having her make up done whilst Mark was getting ready with his best man. Once the couple were ready they headed downstairs to the bar to meet family and friends who had travelled from all over the country to witness them become man and wife.

Once over at Tithe Barn there was another slight break of tradition, usually the father of the bride gives the bride away but at this wedding Mark met the bride and her parents at the top of the isle and then walked her down himself, it was a wonderful personalised touch and always great to see couples changing the format in this way.

After the ceremony we stayed in Tithe Barn and shot some candids and group photos using the beautiful natural light that poured through the window, I then took Lindsay and Mark outside for a few quick photos (it was very cold)before meeting everyone back in the bar for drinks to celebrate their marriage.

I was only booked for shorter day coverage so no first dance shots in this set but it was certainly a great day and I got some great wedding photos at The Hundred House.
