Rustic wedding at The Ashes Barns

It was great to be back for another wedding at The Ashes Barns. This time for time for two seriously cool dudes, Amber and Ash. The wedding took place at The Ashes Barns in Endon Staffordshire. This is a venue I work at a lot being a “Dream Team” photographer at the sister venue Pendrell Hall. The Ashes is genuine barn conversion venue, oozing with natural rustic charm. This made the venue the perfect choice for Amber and Ash.

Getting ready at The Ashes

I started the day photographing Amber in the dedicated prep room at The Ashes. She had her hair and makeup finished and I photographed the story as it developed. Ash also got ready at The Ashes before heading down the road for a quick print with his mates at The Black Horse.

The wedding ceremony took place in The West Barn and the couple had loads of family and friends there to wish hem well.

After the ceremony were blessed with some lovely spring weather. Guests enjoyed a drink from the Gin bar and played some games on the terrace while the couple mingled. Amber and Ash wanted a relaxed and fun day with their nearest and dearest and they definitely pulled that off. Capturing natural moments is what I do best and this was a great wedding for documentary wedding photography.

The grounds at The Ashes are packed with great photo opportunities in all seasons. It was a nice sunny day so we were able to make the most of the photo spots around the lake and in front of the farm house.

Speeches were before the meal and there was plenty of humour from all. I bet Ash was sweating when his three best men took the floor, fortunately they kept it family friendly 😉

A great evening party

Later not the evening the band took off and the dance floor was rocking. It was great to see everyone finish a relaxed day with a goo stomp on the dance floor.
