Autumn wedding at The Ashes
Hannah and Craig’s Autumn wedding at The Ashes
It was great to be back at The Ashes once again, this time for Hannah and Craig’s autumn wedding. I’ve shot at The Ashes loads this year which is something I’m happy about as there is no doubt it’s one of the best wedding venues in Staffordshire. Hannah and Craig had a very relaxed and laid back day planned, with few personalised surprises planned for the guests.
The Ashes wedding venue
The day started off with bridal prep in “the old dairy”. When I arrived Hannah’s sister was skilfully crafting the flowers for the top of the wedding cake. Caro Millington hair and make up artist was on hand to help make the girls their best.
After spending some time with the girls I nipped to the local pub to catch up wth Craig and he guys having a pint before they made their way back to The Ashes ready for the wedding ceremony.
Toward the end of the ceremony two of Craig’s friends played the Oasis hit wonder wall the guitar whilst all the guests had a sing along. This was a great break from the formalities and good to see everyone up getting involved.
Donuts at a wedding
Yes thats right, instead of canapés Hannah and Craig had a mountain of Krispy Kreme donuts for the guests to enjoy between the ceremony and wedding breakfast. I was invited to sample one and very nice it was too!
As well as the donuts the couple had organised sparklers for everyone to get involved with in the evening plus a DJ who also played the saxophone.
This was another fantastic Autumn wedding at The Ashes. Hannah and Craig had a relaxed but fun day with some lovely touches to make the day their own.
