Rodbaston Hall wedding Photography

Earlier this month I found myself once again back at the fantastic venue Rodbaston Hall, this time for the wedidng of Vicky and Robs who had their ceremony at St. Michaels church in Penkridge. Easily accessible from the M6 and A5 Rodbaston is an imposing 19th century hall set amongst 180 hectares of country estate. Boasting some of the most magnificent and well maintained gardens in Staffordshire, mature tree’s, countryside walks and surrounded by farmers fields – its always great to be a wedding photographer at Rodbaston Hall.

Back to the day itself and I arrived at Blossoms Hairdressers at Milford for bridal preparations where Vicky, her mum and bridesmaids were being pampered and enjoying a little bucks fizz and muffins. The bride seemed calm but excited for her wedding at Rodbaston hall and her bridesmaids were on hand to help wherever needed. Once hair and make up was complete Vicky looked stunning and ready for the day ahead so I made my way to the church to catch up with Rob and his groomsmen who were greeting guests on their arrival.

After the ceremony we made our way to Rodbaston, Vicky and Rob arrived in style by Heritage wedding Cars and the guests all enjoyed welcome drinks in the gardens. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t being too kind and a downpour meant we had to cut the photos short and run for cover. However the rain soon cleared and I was able to make use of the grounds for the couples wedding photographs.

Later in the evening the weather had cleared up and the guests were able to enjoy lawn games and netball before the couples first dance and the evening reception. After the first dance we quickly nipped down to a nearby field to take a few shots of the magnificent sunset, a prefer end to a perfect wedding day.
