The Valley Hotel Ironbridge wedding photography

Elena and Carl had a wonderful outdoor ceremony at The Valley Hotel in Ironbridge, Shropshire. This a great wedding venue that I’ve worked at a couple of times before and it was good to be back.

The Valley is a Georgian listed building set close to the River Severn and a beautiful park full of flowers and shrubbery, and only a short car journey away is the historic iron bridge itself so there are plenty of great spots for wedding photographs.

It was a beautiful summers day, perfect for an outdoor wedding. There was a buzz of excitement in the air as I arrived at Elana’s preparation in the morning, Elana is Italian and had lots of family over to watch her tie the knot to Carl.

After preparations I headed over to The Valley to catch up with Carl who was welcoming his arriving guests and ensuring they were comfortable. He seemed a little on the nervous side but being a true gentleman didn’t let it show as he eagerly awaited his bride to be.

After the ceremony we nipped out in the wedding car (a surprise Carl had organised) to take a few shots before heading back to the venue to continue the celebrations. During the evening we had the opportunity to go up to the Ironbridge and take a few photos next to this historic landmark.
