Moddershall Oaks wedding photography – Alice and Tom
I was very excited when Alice and Tom booked me for their wedding at Moddershall Oaks spa in Staffordshire. I’ve worked at Moddershall a good number of times now an the venue never ceases to inspire me come rain or shine. Having wonderfully landscaped grounds and the famous lake there are countless possibilities for wedding photography.
Wedding at St Mary The Virgin Church
Alice and Tom actually had their wedding ceremony at St Mary The Virgin Church in Uttoxeter. This was a new church for me to shoot at but it certainly didn’t disappoint. There was lovely light on the couple and the vicar was more than happy for me to shoot from the front to capture all the moments and emotions as the couple took each other as husband and wife. Jessica Louise Harpist delivered year another outstanding performance on her harp providing beautiful music during the service.
After the service the weather was looking a little risky so we decided to shoot some portraits and family groups outside the church before heading over to Moddershall Oaks. This was a wise move as by time we got to Modershall the heavens opened meaning we couldn’t shoot outside until later that evening when it was dark.
Wedding reception at Moddershall Oaks
After reception drinks the guests enjoyed their wedding breakfast which was followed by the speeches. All speeches were heavily entertaining with Tom taking a true battering from his best men! Then as a surprise the bridesmaids stood up and performed a rap to the theme tune from The Fresh Price of Bell Air.
The evenings music was performed by the talented band The Royal who never fail to get the dance floor rocking, and what an epic party was had too!
