Weston Hall winter wedding – Sophia and Greg

Back in February I was booked to shoot Sophia and Greg’s wedding at Weston Hall near Stafford. One of my favourite venues and a somewhere I work at regularly I’m very used to Weston Hall and was looking forward to this wedding come rain or shine.

Situated in the heart of Staffordshire Weston hall is one of the counties leading wedding venues. with a few different rooms licensed for civil ceremonies Weston Hall can cater for wedding parties of various sizes. Sophia and Dan had their ceremony in the Shrewsbury suite and enjoyed their wedding breakfast and evening celebrations in the Westminster. I’ve written more about weddings at Weston Hall here.

Rain on your wedding day

Well we had what most brides fear – it rained pretty much all day! I’ve had a few weddings that have suffered torrential rain and honestly it never ruins the day and Sophia and Greg really were not going to let it spoil theirs. Sophia is one of those girls who always has a huge smile on her face and rain certainly wasn’t going to change that. Its a shame we couldn’t get outside for a lot of photos but rain only really effects a very small part of the photography. And once everyone had seen Sophia in her dress we nipped out late in the evening with a brolly and got some serious cool rain photos!

Sashes Bridal Boutique

Sophia looked absolutely amazing in a Maggie Sottero dress supplied by Sashes Bridal Boutique who are based in Codsall near Wolverhampton. Not to be outdone Greg and his best man looked extremely sharp in Hugo Boss suits.

Ever-thine wedding videography

Sophia and Greg booked Ever thine wedding videography to record their day for them. It was great to meet the guys in the morning to have a chat about the day and make sure we wouldn’t get in each others day. Ever Thine appeared to be more of a documentary coverage rather than cheese set ups which worked well with my style of photography and I have no hesitation in recommending them in the future. Booking a videographer can be tricky as the choice is vast and its important to book one that will suit your photographers style, fortunately working with ever thine wedding videography was a pleasure.
