Hindhu wedding ceremony

A shot I love from Ranjana and Michaels wedding

A shot I love from Michael and Ranjana’s duel ceremony wedding

So this is a wedding I could talk about a lot but I’ll save that for the main blog in a few weeks.

To give a brief overview, Michael and Ranjana got married at Rodbaston Hall. In the morning they had a Hindhu ceremony outside and in the afternoon a civil ceremony inside Rodbaston Hall itself.

Having close to 200 guests this was a big one to say the least, so much so a marquee was set up in the grounds of Rodbaston to accommodate everyone during the wedding breakfast.

This was my first Vivaha ceremony, having shot an islamic ceremony a few years ago I was really looking forward to seeing the different traditions but, even although I’d done my research,  I was also a little nervous to make sure I wanted to capture the important bits.

So what do I love about this shot? Well just look at the emotion and excitement between Ranjana and her Auntie, look at the amazing and beautiful colours and all the wonderful details and jewellery or Ranjanas dress and that stunning brightly coloured bouquet, look at how the brides cousins are all there holding the cloth that covers her, each playing a part in this important day.

I’m really looking forward to blogging this wedding so keep your eyes peeled ready for it in a few weeks when I catch up from a very busy season.
