Twycross zoo wedding – Louise and Dean
Twycross zoo wedding
Louise and Dean planned a very personalised wedding and I was really excited when they booked me as their photographer – who wouldn’t jump at the chance to shoot a wedding at Twycross zoo. This wedding was back in early August (I’m still trying to catch up on the blog after such a busy summer) but I can remember the day clearly as this was one unique wedding!
I wasn’t really sure what to expect from a wedding at Twycross but the rooms and locations used for weddings are really good; The ceremony and wedding breakfast took place in a beautiful well lit room called “windows on the wild” which had a nautical theme and overlooked a wading birds avery, drinks reception was held at Norton Grange and the evening reception was in “Himalaya” – this overlooked the snow leopard enclosure and during the late evening the snow leopards were playing with one another, this was a magical experience and a perfect way to end such a great day.
The weather on the day was very challenging, there was rain throughout most of the morning and early afternoon which cleared shortly after the ceremony to make way for some very harsh sun, but at least this gave the guests chance to have a look round the zoo before the wedding breakfast. The main attraction was the new elephants enclosure which made an amazing backdrop for the photos, although the elephants themselves were being somewhat camera shy!
After the wedding breakfast guests were able to enjoy drinks in Himalaya where Louise and Dean had organised a great variety of entertainment from music supplied by Replay Acoustic Duo and a fantastic and mind blowing magician to wii games on the big screen and the most amazing and elaborate sweetie table I’ll ever see in my lifetime.
All in all this was a wonderful day that was the perfect match for Louise and Dean. If you’re looking to book a wedding at Twycross zoo please contact me to see what I can do..
