Kat and Nathan wedding at Whiston Hall

Kat and Nathan had their wedding at Whiston Hall in August and I had booked me to be their Staffordshire wedding photographer for this wonderful event.

This was the first time I had shot a wedding at Whiston Hall but, having already been to check out the venue for the couples pre-wedding shoot, I already knew this was a venue with dozens of great photographic opportunities and locations as well as stunning views over the Staffordshire countryside.

The venue is actually a golf club, but unlike some golf club wedding venues the grounds are much more freely available to use for the wedding photos. The Manager, Nigel, is a really helpful and friendly chap who assists on the day by driving the photographer around in a golf buddy whilst the couple have one of their own to drive. Nigel knows all the best spots and locations, and the safest way to get to them without interrupting the golfers game.

When I arrived Kat was calm but excited for the day ahead, eagerly assisted by her bridesmaids and mother she looked stunning as she had her hair and make up perfected and slipped into her wedding dress. Her father looked extremely proud as he entered the room to see his little girl all dressed up and ready to get married.

After the wedding ceremony we headed outside to make use of the stunning grounds at Whiston Hall. The couple had great fun driving their golf buggy around and it certainly was a fun way to travel! After the photos we headed back indoors ready for the receiving line and speeches. I really enjoy capturing this part of the day as theres always so much emotion and reactions which really helps to tell the story of the wedding.

This was a fantastic wedding at Whiston hall and I look forward to shooting there again soon.
