Three Horse Shoes wedding photography in Leek
Charlotte and Phill had their wedding at the Three Horse Shoes in Leek. Located in the Staffordshire moorlands area of the peak district, the venue is able to boast magnificent views over the Roaches which provides a stunning backdrop for your wedding.
Charlotte and Phill had an 11.30 ceremony booked so bridal prep started early at Charlottes mums house. Fortunately I was treated to a bacon and sausage butty on arrival which set me up nicely for the afternoons exercise (we’ll come to that in a moment).
Charlotte was travelling to her wedding at The three Horse Shoes in Style; a classic convertible VW Beatle.
When I arrived at the venue Phill was already there with his groomsmen enjoying a pint before the ceremony and greeting the guests who’d come to wish them well. Shortly after we had to hurry Phill inside as his bride was approaching in the Beatle.
A wonderful ceremony full of laughs, smiles and tears of joy followed. Charlottes bridesmaid Gemma gave a wonderful, emotional reading and all family and friends were clearly very happy to be witnessing the joyous event.
After the ceremony we went outside which gave me prime opportunity to capture some wonderful natural wedding photos of the guests and newlyweds. Shortly after we made use of the amazing view at The Three Horse Shoes and took the group photographs and confetti shot before everyone went in to enjoy their wedding breakfast.
After food and speeches the fun really started; having an early ceremony gave us plenty of free time in the afternoon so we headed off into the Roaches to get some adventurous shots.
Nothing was stopping Charlotte and Phill as they climbed hills, rocks and sat on the edge of a cliff face – all in the name of their wedding photos. Fortunately Phills best man Adam is a highly skilled mountaineering instructor and outdoor pursuits expert so was on hand to ensure safety was observed at all times.
After our adventures in the Roaches we headed back to the Three Horse Shoes to meet the evening guests and prepare for the first dance.
