Baden Hall weddings – Rachel and Rob

Rachel and Rob booked me to be their wedding photographer at Baden Hall in Eccleshall. Baden Hall is a fantastic multi use venue that offers fisheries, sports, weddings and more. It seemed like years ago that Rachel and Rob booked me, so it was good to catch up with them gain at the pre wedding shoot a few weeks prior to the wedding day itself.

The day started off with bridal prep at the couples home in Eccleshall. Rachel had bridesmaids and family on hand to help her, as well as a professional stylist. As usual excitement was in no short measures and even although the weather was awful it wasn’t dampening the spirits of the bridal party.

After prep I made my way to Eccleshall Church for the ceremony where Rob was eagerly awaiting his soon-to-be wife. A beautiful church with plenty of seating and considering how grim the weather was I was relieved there was enough light inside (just!).

Rachels dad walked her down the isle for what was a very emotional ceremony and I could tell Rob was happy as Larry to make Rachel his wife.

Due to the rain we were unable to take any photographs outside the church so I had to shoot the groups inside. Its never ideal but as a professional photographer you have to be prepared, equipped and capable of dealing with bad weather and very low light. After the group photos we made our way directly to Baden hall for welcome drinks.

Rachel and Rob were a great sport, there were out in the rain for their photos and nothing was going to stop them – I really do take my hat off to them for refusing to let a bit of rain ruin their wedding photos.

After a delicious meal followed the speeches which were entertaining, emotional and funny. The best men absolutely killed it and both had gone the extra mile ensuring Rob didn’t get off lightly.

During the evening the sun decided to briefly make an appearance so we seized the opportunity and quickly did a big group photo of all the guests and a quick couple of shots of Rachel and Rob before the thunder clouds came rolling in.

After the cake cutting and first dance I left the happy couple to enjoy their evening celebrations.
