2022 best of wedding photography

2022, what an amazing year it was for my wedding photography. It’s been some time since I’ve done a “best of”, mainly because I shoot so many amazing weddings it takes a huge amount of time to go through so many galleries and somehow try to decide what pictures to include. But this year I thought now I should really get back on in the saddle and put together a blog to celebrate how amazing it’s been to have a full year of unrestricted weddings.

Natural wedding photography

Choosing the photographs was as daunting as ever. Each and every wedding is unique with so many great moments it was nearly impossible selecting just one or two photographs from each wedding. I’ve decided to do two separate slideshows, this one focusses purely on the natural moments. I’ll post another slideshow on instagram with just couples portraits later. This slideshow is my chance to indulge myself in the photographs I love the most. Real moments. Nothing staged, posed or set up. Just amazing people having an amazing time at their amazing weddings.

This slideshow is about what really happens at the wedding. hugs, happiness, tears and emotion. Humour, nerves and laughter. These are the things that make us human and these are my main focus when photographing a wedding. Immortalising these moments in a photograph freezes a split second in time that will NEVER be repeated. I could take the same posed photo nearly every day of the week, but these moments happen once and once only. So turn the volume up, make this full screen and enjoy!

Best wedding venues in Staffordshire

I shoot over 50 weddings per year, it’s been that way for 10 years now. In fact I worked out that at the end of 2022 I’ve now shot over 600 weddings. Which is nuts when I think about it! I do travel throughout the Uk to shoot weddings but generally I’m fortunate enough to stay in Staffordshire and the surrounding counties. I feel so lucky to live and shoot weddings in this area. There are so many great wedding venues in Staffordshire and the surrounding counties, from country house venues to rustic barns and purpose built venues.
