2015 – a look back at an amazing year

This is my review and look back at 2015, it has been one amazing and extraordinary year, I’ve shot just under 60 weddings this year, the most I’ve ever done in one year and the strange thing is I can remember each and every one of them like it was only last week.

Over the year I’ve been refining and continually changing to the way I work, listening to feedback and focussing on the emotions and capturing beautiful, natural wedding photography for the newlyweds to cherish. One thing I’ve really learnt this year is that real moments and real emotion can’t be staged, you have to capture it as it happens and those images are by far the most important. Yet again I’ve invested in training and education with the highlight of the year being a few days in London listening to seminars by the worlds best wedding photographers.

My personal highlight of the year was probably my son being born in March, but also getting to watch my daughter grow and learn her first words, she makes a tiny appearance in this blog too when she was a guest at a wedding I shot for my wife’s cousin.

This is just a small section of the years highlights from weddings in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, West Midlands and Derbyshire – I’ve not even had chance to blog all of these weddings yet but I have blogged most of them so feel free to look back over the previous posts to see these amazing weddings in more detail.

There is at least one shot from every wedding, not always of the bride and groom but different parts of the day that tell the story.
