New Castle under Lyme Wedding photographer Staffordshire Tom and Ruth

It was great to be Ruth and Tom’s wedding photographer as they had a wedding a little out of the ordinary…Ruths family come from a beautiful little village called Maer which is in between Stafford and Newcastle under Lyme. Its one of those great little villages where everyone knows each other and there is a strong feeling of community with the Church being at the heart of it all.

After the Church ceremony everyone walked back through the village to a fantastic marquee reception at Ruth’s parents house where the guests enjoyed afternoon tea followed by speeches, fun and games and even a pub quiz! There was another twist, instead of a first dance these guys had a first bat at cricket – that’s a first for me!

Its always an honour to provide wedding photography at these events and everyone was so friendly, I was treated like a guest.

Unfortunately later into the afternoon the rain decided to try and ruin our photoshoot – well as you can see it didn’t phase Tom and Ruth and we still got some cracking wedding photos.
