Lauren and Martyn wedding at Bridal Barn Shropshire
As I continue blogging last years weddings it’s time to showcase the amazing wedding of Lauren and Martyn who tied the know at Bridal Barn in Shropshire.
At this point I’m going to rewind a little and talk about how I ended up shooting this amazing wedding. Going back to 2018 I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Ashleigh and Adams wedding who got married at Rodbaston Hall in Staffordshire. Lauren is Ashleighs sister and as I’ve mentioned before, it’s always a great honour for a wedding photographer to be invited back to further family occasions. It was great to catch up with Ashleigh and Adam again and see they’re still as happy and full of humour as the day they wed.
Bridal Barn weddings
Bridal Barn is a relatively new wedding venue nestled in the Shropshire countryside. Custom built for weddings from an original farm barn the venue is absolutely bursting with character. Ceremonies are conducted in the tipi and guests are free to roam around the grounds and pine forest if they fancy stretching their legs. There is no doubt that bridal barn is a brilliant location for a wedding, and perfect for storytelling wedding photography such as mine.
My day started out at a nearby hotel where Lauren was getting ready. There were a few rooms full of bridesmaid and family members helping her prepare for the big day. As the makeup was applied and everyones hair was finished off I photographed the small details and the developing story. Once her proud dad saw her in the dress for the first time it was time to head over to Bridal Barn to catch up with the guys.
Tipi Wedding
The Bridal Barn tipi was a perfect location for Lauren and Martyn to exchange their vows. The couple originally booked the venue before they had a license for an official ceremony, in these instances couples would do the legal bits at a registry office and employ a celebrant to conduct the ceremony. However I believe the venue is now licensed to how an official ceremony there if you so wish.
Bridal Barn wedding photos
This was a a wonderful summer wedding on a warm sunny day. I really enjoyed making the most of the stunning pine forest for the couples portraits. All the guests were super relaxed enjoying drinks in the sun, this let me capture the best of each moment.
Once the speeches and wedding breakfast had been enjoyed it was time for the first dance and the evening celebrations to commence.
Weddings like Lauren and Martyn’s make my job as a wedding photographer a pleasure and I’m sure the happy couple will have an amazing life together.
