Alton Towers wedding photographer – Selena and Ben’s wedding

On 5th April I had the fantastic job of being the wedding photographer at Alton Towers for Selena and Ben’s wedding. How

amazing is that, a wedding at Alton Towers!

The ceremony and reception was held at the Alton Towers Resort hotel, which is a quality hotel that still has some of the fun factor you’d expect from Alton Towers.

The room which hosted the ceremony was big and light, perfect for photography as I was able to make use of the natural light which was pouring through the window. Selena arrived looking stunning and Ben could barely take his eyes off her as she walked down the isle. Ben and Selena’s son, Harrison, wanted to have the best view of the ceremony and decided sitting in Ben’s arms would give the best vantage point.. he made sure things didn’t get too serious and as you can imagine was the real star of the show.

Alter the ceremony the rain was coming down in bucket loads but we managed to get 15 minutes in the grounds of the hotel to take some portraits before the guests sat down for their meal.

After some very emotional speeches we had the amazing opportunity to go into Alton Towers Park and up to the old Castle itself, which is actually pretty scary when the park is empty and much bigger than I’d ever have noticed before.

Inside the ruins it was very dark but we still managed to get some cracking portraits of the bride a groom, these were my favourite Alton Towers wedding photos as its very rare I get the opportunity to shoot a newly married couple in a ruined castle!

As I left the wedding at Alton Towers the party was getting into full swing with both a band and a DJ set to keep the guests entertained.
